We conduct a variety of brief assessments (e.g., classroom or home observations, adult reports, self-report measures) to assess whether or not specific behaviors or thoughts are a clinically significant problem. If the data suggest that the behaviors or thoughts are problematic, we then use the findings to identify the likely cause of the difficulty. By completion of a careful task analysis, we develop of strategies to eliminate or reduce maladaptive behaviors and replace them with adaptive behaviors.
